I think there is some truth to the “spike” factor, but in truth, I think that the nation as a whole is going to have an easier time relating to Palin than Obama. And I know tons of people are going to leap down my throat for saying so, but I don’t think America is ready for a black president. I feel like half of the people who are in favor for Obama are just hopping on the bandwagon because they think everyone else is. I think what Mr. Kautzman said about the “Bradley Effect” is totally going to be a huge part of this election. Sure people are going to calm down after a while from the convention, but I think that Palin is going to dominate at her debate against Biden. She’s captivating as a speaker, and even if he beats her in points, she’ll beat him in charisma and captivating the audience. Politics is a game, and if you’ve got a TV, then you’ve got season tickets. The same thing will happen with Obama; I love McCain, but he is a horrible public speaker. Obama is incredible at inspiring his audience. He could sell ice to an Eskimo for heaven’s sakes. I think the spike is going to last and Palin is going to only gain supporters.
